Privacy policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026. Applies to orbitandvolt.com and the Orbit & Volt Launch & EV briefing email.
Orbit & Volt ("we") runs this site and an email briefing that explains how Tesla and SpaceX technology works. This page explains what we collect when you sign up, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short on purpose. You can reach us at [email protected] or by mail at 3238 I-70 Business Loop, Clifton, CO 81520.
What we collect
- Your email address (and your first name, if you choose to give it) when you sign up for the briefing.
- Basic email activity, such as whether an email was delivered, opened, or a link was clicked. Our email provider records this so we can tell which topics are useful and keep the list healthy.
- Signup details such as the date, the form you used, and the page or link that brought you (for example a tag from an Instagram or YouTube link).
This site itself has no accounts, no comments and no advertising trackers.
Why we use it
- To send you a confirmation email first, then the briefing you asked for.
- To understand, in aggregate, what readers find useful.
We will not sell or rent your email address. If an email ever includes a sponsor message or an affiliate link, it will be clearly labeled.
Who processes it
- Kit (kit.com) stores the subscriber list and sends the emails on our behalf. The signup form on this site is provided by Kit. See Kit's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and handles mail sent to [email protected]. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email. It takes effect right away.
- Access, correct or delete your data by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep your subscription details while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep only what's needed to make sure you aren't emailed again, unless you ask us to delete it.
Children
The briefing is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and mention it in the next briefing.
